My Story

My name is Shellie Killen and I'm a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. I got my bachelors in Public Relations with a minor in English. In December 2001 I got my diploma but I couldn't find a job. I thought if I had to do something outside my field, it may as well be something new, different and adventurous. 

So, I packed my bag and moved halfway around the world to the tiny island nation of Taiwan. This is where my adventures began. I spent the year teaching English, traveling around Asia and experiencing new cultures. 

This little website is just a tiny scheme to convince the rest of you Americans to travel. There are amazing things out there if you're brave enough to buy a plane ticket. The adventures will find you. I promise! Explore my Travels section to learn more about all the places I've been.

This new and improved website wouldn't have been possilbe without my brother, Travis, to work out all the HTML kinks for me. A big thanks to him for helping me make this one a little better than the last one!
